Ballarat Open, JTUltra Graded and the recent Melbourne Central Open - Leong K and I have managed to defend our A mixed title for 3 competitions in a roll, which is quite a great achievement which I've never thought it was possible cause I've never trained to play Mixed or like playing Mixed whatsoever. With Xue (my old double partner) almost retired from the badminton scene, Mixed would be my only strong event I could play in competitions. We even tested our ability in the Open grade for the first time in the Melbourne Central which we battled through to the Quarter Finals after defeating F and V then we had the chance to play against one of Australia's seeded mixed pair Erin C and Ben W. We realised we would be facing elimination at this round but we did give them a rather interesting match that lasted more than 15mins! LOL!! We even once led the game by 5-3 for about few seconds - I know Leong would be happier if I mentioned this! LOL! Anyhow, we lost to them 21-10, 21-12. So you see, it wasn't that bad! I was quite happy that we had the opportunity to play some Australian players, we shall try again in tournaments to come :-))
Ladies Doubles with D Koh was not really a success this time, we only managed to grab Runner-up losing to J and J quite embarrassingly. Just didn't know what was wrong, D was having alil tummy discomfort and both J and J had a pretty good partnership - so I wasn't surprised that we lost miserably. I guess we will wait till our 3rd partnership and see whether it was our partnership that has affected our game last week.
Oh well, back to work I guess...It's been awhile that I haven't really concentrated at work for more than 4 hours, just keep getting distracted by other things *sigh* plus I should be studying at the same time, my first Microsoft exam is this Friday and then Party throughout the weekend!
